AHNEN ahnen / Fragments de repetition – Un film de Pina Bausch

Avec ce film, tourné avec peu de moyens, Pina Bausch offre un aperçu du quotidien des répétitions. En travaillant avec ce nouveau média que le film représente pour elle, sans faire de compromis ni tenir compte des manières habituelles de voir et de construire l‘intrigue, elle montre simplement ce qui l‘intéresse.

Alors que Pina Bausch préparait son film La Plainte de l‘impératrice en 1987, les coproducteurs en France, en Allemagne et en Grande-Bretagne demandèrent un scénario. Sans scénario pas de film – c´était comme cela que l‘industrie cinématographique voyait la « chose ». Les discussions prenaient du temps jusqu´au moment où les chaînes de télévision acceptèrent pourtant l‘idée. Quelqu‘un proposa de tourner un « film d´essai » pour montrer quels pourraient être les résultats de cette autre façon de faire. Ainsi est né le film AHNEN ahnen – un reportage sur les répétitions de AHNEN – une pièce quelle était en train de développer. Un film resté pendant un quart de siècle dans les archives qui se révèle aujourd‘hui comme un extraordinaire document. Ainsi des œuvres furent créées qui émeuvent le monde jusqu´à aujourd´hui.

Version éditée de 2014, initialement publiée en DVD en collaboration avec L'Arche Éditeur, Paris. Durée : 78 minutes.
