Finally on stage
After the cancellations due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the double bill common ground[s] • The Rite of Spring eventually celebrated its premiere in 2021.
In August 2021, the rehearsals for The Rite of Spring could be continued. At the École des Sables (Senegal), the dancers from 14 African countries prepared for the first tour block together with the rehearsal directors. On September 23, 2021, the double bill celebrated its world premiere at the Teatros del Canal in Madrid (Spain). In front of a sold-out house, Germaine Acogny and Malou Airaudo presented their new duet common ground[s]. Afterwards, the newly assembled ensemble performed The Rite of Spring. From Madrid the tour continued to Copenhagen (Denmark). Followed by performances in St. Pölten (Austria) and Luxembourg. The next stop will be the opening of Adelaide Festival (Australia) in March 2022.
